
If you are looking for something yummy, fulfilling, and easy to make in the morning, this bowl will be perfect for you. To be honest here, I have never been a huge fan of oatmeal, but whenever I ate it as a kid and even as an adult, I find it tastes best when it is loaded up with the classic apple and cinnamon style.
To put my own little healthy twist on it – I topped it with walnuts and chia seeds to add a bit more nourishing fats and protein.
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup of Rolled Oats
- 1 Cup of Vanilla Soy Milk (or any plant-based milk)
- 1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
- 1 Granny Smith Apple
- 1 Teaspoon of Chia Seeds
- Handful of Walnuts
Easy enough, add the oats, soy milk, and cinnamon to a small pot and bring the mixture to a boil.
Continuously stir the oats until they feel tender and digestible – then add it to a bowl of your choice and top with your sliced apple, sprinkle of chia seeds, then finally drop down the handful of walnuts!
